The Capella is also an extremely energy efficient headphone amp., which has allowed us to make it compatible with different energy sources. You can power the Capella from a 12Volt battery pack, or even a 12V/1W solar panel, instead of the included mains power supply.
Connection method
The Beresford Capella headphone amplifier is designed for connection: 1. Between the output of an audio pre-amplifier, and a power-amplifier. 2. Between the output of a CD player or Digital to Analogue Converter, and the CD input on a pre-amplifier. The Capella has an amplified input/ouput feedthrough connection so that you won’t lose the functionality of the audio path that the Capella is inserted into.

The Capella has the following controls for the input signal: gain - Gives you control over the gain of headphones of different impedance. damping - Allows you to select the best possible damping of the bass. hf - Excessive noise artefacts that can cause ringing in the ears in standard headphone amps, can be adjusted to a more comfortable level.
